Es Cap de Barbaria

Es Cap de Barbaria: Formentera’s Southern Marvel

Es Cap de Barbaria, the rocky outcrop at the southernmost tip of Formentera, is a place that captivates visitors with its raw beauty and timeless charm. This iconic site embodies the island's spirit of freedom and serenity, offering a magical escape from the ordinary. The journey to the famous lighthouse, Faro de Cap de Barbaria, takes you through a landscape dotted with rustic fields and traditional island homes, preserving the authentic character of Formentera.

During the summer months, in an effort to protect the surrounding natural reserve, access to the lighthouse is restricted to pedestrians. Visitors can leave their vehicles in a designated parking area 1.6 km away and enjoy a peaceful walk through the untouched landscape, heightening the sense of discovery.

Whether you’re a nature lover, a history enthusiast, or simply in search of a quiet retreat, Es Cap de Barbaria promises a truly unique experience.

The Light House
